Zen Technologies partners with arm AI Turing to launch four innovative weapon systems

Defence training solutions firm Zen Technologies Ltd on Wednesday (September 26) said the company in partnership with its subsidiary AI Turing Technologies has launched four innovative remote-controlled weapon and surveillance systems aimed at revolutionising defence capabilities.

The newly-introduced systems include the RCWS –­ 7.62 x 51 MMG (Parashu), tank mounted RCWS – 12.7 x 108 HMG (Fanish), naval RCWS – 12.7 x 99 HMG (Sharur), and artillery rugged camera (Durgam).

Each system is tailored to meet the specific needs of India’s military and is set to improve the operational efficiency of the armed forces in various environments, including armoured vehicles, tanks, and naval defence systems.

Zen Technologies has a strong track record of delivering advanced defence solutions, with previous successful systems such as the Hawkeye, Barbarik-URCWS (ultralight remote control weapon station), Prahasta, and Sthir Stab 640. These advanced systems are designed to enhance India’s defence operations across land, sea, and air.

RCWS – 7.62 x 51 MMG (Parashu): A multi-platform remote-controlled weapon system equipped with advanced thermal imaging and anti-drone capabilities, Parashu is optimised for use on vehicles and ships, offering seamless integration with multiple calibres, making it a critical asset for rapid-response missions and counter-UAV operations.

Tank mounted RCWS – 12.7 x 108 HMG (Fanish): Built for tanks like the T-72 and T-90, Fanish is a game-changing 12.7 mm weapon station that enhances firepower in armoured operations. Featuring a sophisticated thermal targeting system, it ensures precision even in extreme weather conditions, significantly boosting battlefield efficiency.

Naval RCWS – 12.7 x 99 HMG (Sharur): Designed for naval defence, Sharur offers unparalleled target engagement for both surface and aerial threats up to 2 km away. With its robust design and advanced stabilisation technology, Sharur delivers accuracy in low-visibility conditions, reinforcing India’s maritime defence.

Artillery rugged camera (Durgam): A military-grade, rugged surveillance camera system equipped with day/night vision technology, Durgam provides all-weather reliability. Engineered for use in extreme environments, it is an ideal solution for armoured vehicles and high-threat zones, automatically detecting potential dangers in real time.

Shares of Zen Technologies Ltd ended at ₹1,699, down by ₹9.25, or 0.54%, on the BSE.
