IRFC share price: Navratna PSU to declare second interim dividend today

IRFC share price will be in focus on Monday as the state-run company’s board of directors will consider dividend today. Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) is a Navratna PSU company.

The board of directors of Indian Railway Finance Corporation will meet today, March 17, to consider a second interim dividend for the financial year 2024-2025.

“… this is to inform that meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Monday, 17th March 2025, inter-alia, to consider declaration of Second Interim Dividend to the shareholders of the company for the financial year 2024-25,” IRFC said in a regulatory filing on March 10.

IRFC Dividend Record Date

IRFC dividend record has also been announced. The railway PSU has fixed March 21, 2025, as the record date for the payment of the dividend.

“Further, in accordance with Regulation 42 of SEBI (Listing Obligation Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the Record date for determining the entitlements of the shareholders for the payment of aforesaid Second Interim Dividend shall be Friday, 21st March, 2025, subject to the approval of Second Interim Dividend by the Board of Directors,” IRFC said.

The dividend record date is the day on which a company finalises the list of shareholders eligible for its forthcoming dividend distribution. As per the T+1 settlement cycle, the ex-date and the record date for all the corporate actions, like dividend, are on the same day.

IRFC Stock Price Trend

IRFC share price fell 7% in one month and has dropped 22% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis. In the past six months, IRFC stock price has fallen 30%. In the past two years, IRFC share price has delivered a multibagger return of 330%.

On Thursday, IRFC shares ended 1.22% lower at 117.70 apiece on the BSE, with a market capitalisation of over 1.53 lakh crore.
