This feature, available to BharatPe’s 15 million users, connects customers to over 140,000 restaurants in more than 400 cities across India. By eliminating the need for multiple apps, BharatPe aims to create a more seamless user experience.
This integration marks BharatPe’s first major update following the rebranding of its postpe app in August 2024. Users can now browse a wide range of restaurants, place orders, and track deliveries in real-time. The app also offers tailored food recommendations based on user preferences and order history, enhancing the overall experience.
Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe noted that the integration with ONDC is in line with BharatPe’s mission to drive digital adoption and support local businesses. “This partnership will allow thousands of small food outlets to reach new consumers and grow their businesses,” Negi added.
ONDC, a government-backed initiative, aims to create an open and interoperable digital network, allowing merchants and consumers across various apps to engage in seamless commerce. Thampy Koshy, MD & CEO of ONDC, highlighted how the partnership will drive growth for local food businesses by simplifying digital commerce and expanding market access.
In addition to food delivery, BharatPe’s app offers a range of payment solutions, including UPI transactions, bill payments, and discounted gift vouchers. This new offering further strengthens BharatPe’s position as a comprehensive digital payment platform.
